Host Your Own Butterfly High Tea
This Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Moth (October 2021) we invite you to host your own Butterfly High Tea and help honour all babies above by raising awareness and funds for stillbirth prevention.
Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness (PAIL) Month is held during October every year and provides an opportunity for bereaved parents to pause and remember their children who have died.
Hosting a Butterfly High Tea fundraising event not only provides an opportunity to remember all babies chasing butterflies above with your community, but you'll be helping to raise awareness and break the stigma around pregnancy and infant loss – all while raising funds for Still Aware and our mission of ending preventable stillbirth.
If you want to host an event, here's how...
1. Choose a date
Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day is held on October 15th every year. We encourage all Butterfly High Tea participants to host their fundraising event on this day, however, if this day is unavailable you can choose to hold yours on a different day during October – it is up to you and what you are comfortable with!
2. Choose your event
Your Butterfly High Tea doesn't have to be a high tea. Whether it's a backyard BBQ, morning tea at your workplace, a lunch with friends, or a virtual family dinner, it's completely up to you.
To register for a Butterfly High Tea just email firstname.lastname@example.org. Registrations cost $30 to cover admin expenses. Once registered, we will send you your fundraising kit which comes complete with a donation box, safe pregnancy resources, fundraising pins, and more. What's more, the fee is refundable if you raise over $100!
3. Invite your friends
Once registered and you've decided on what type of event you'll hold, it's time to invite your friends and family – the more the merrier! No matter if your guests have experienced pregnancy or infant loss firsthand or have never heard of pregnancy and infant loss, what's important is to TALK! Reducing preventable stillbirth, raising awareness, and keeping families safe, all starts with one simple thing: a conversation.
Ask your guests to donate at your event. You can find numerous deposit methods at stillaware.org/donate, or alternatively, contact us at email@example.com to arrange payment.
5. Share the love
Tag us in your event photos. Find us at @still_aware on Instagram! We'll re-share every mention in stories of your Instagram to show our appreciation of your support.

Still Aware is Australia's first stillbirth awareness charity dedicated to ending preventable stillbirth through education and awareness. Still Aware is not Government-funded and relies solely on the generosity of donations and fundraisers. All donations are tax-deductible and every dollar goes towards saving the littlest Australian lives.
