Naomi is a bereaved mother to her beautiful daughter Bella, who was stillborn at 38 weeks, although Bella was alive and healthy during labor, her unexpected loss marked the beginning of Naomi's journey through grief, healing, and advocacy.
Over the years, Naomi has dedicated herself to supporting other bereaved families, volunteering at her local support group to provide comfort and understanding. Recently, she gave evidence at the NSW Birth Trauma Inquiry, sharing her lived experience of complex trauma to shine a light on the gaps in care and support for families navigating stillbirth.
Naomi is passionate about driving change within the healthcare system. She advocates for improved hospital policies and procedures surrounding stillbirth and calls for the implementation of mandatory trauma-informed training for all healthcare professionals. Naomi's mission is to ensure that every family experiencing stillbirth is met with compassionate, informed care that fosters healing and dignity.
